Thrilling Letter from Puebla

Carlos Fernández, preaching in Puebla.

Dear Carlos,

This is Rosalba. You stayed with my parents a few weeks ago when you were in Puebla. I'm sorry I didn't write to you sooner...

When Juan Carlos, my fiancé, and I were getting to know each other, I began to talk to him about Christ. At the outset he was not very convinced. I then took him to church. We went to Torre Fuerte, and on that very day you were preaching. They were promoting the book Soprendido por la Fe [the Surprised by Faith Spanish edition]. I gave him the book and he read it in a few weeks.

Every time we talked, he was more convinced of the truthfulness of the Bible and of wanting to straighten up his life and to surrender to the Lord. He also wanted to teach this to his two children. He used to tell me that he wanted to do so when he had the weapons to present God to them in a way that they would not be able to argue with him.

He set himself to learning during several months, and coming with me to church, and reading more books. When you, Carlos, were here in Puebla for the second time, you gave a very interesting presentation [FaithSearch Discovery] at our parents' house. Since he was already growing in the conviction of wanting to live a life with Christ, that same day, after the teaching, he declared Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Since then Juan Carlos has felt very well, very happy. He continues going to church regularly, and he even has already spoken of the Gospel to two people, who through his witness are totally convinced that Christ is who they want in their life. His friend who works with him is also very happy to have come to know Christ. They are very thankful.

We also are very thankful for your visit. We learned a lot, and were able to clear away some doubts.
