A "315 Day" is one in which
Christians are prepared to fulfill more ably the command
for us in 1 Peter 3:15, "But in your hearts set apart Christ
as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone
who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect…"
A "315 Day" is the result of
a special new program offered by FaithSearch International.
The "315 Day" is designed to encourage pastors, and
equip their people to bring the Gospel to their communities.
Consistent with our mission "to proclaim
the Gospel with evidence to all peoples everywhere," FaithSearch
recently initiated the new effort to invite every church
to schedule a "315 Day" (usually a Sunday) in
their ministry year. A FaithSearch evangelist
preaches a message in the worship services on the evidences
for the existence of a personal and infinite God; may offer
another evidence-based message in their youth/adult education;
and presents a two-hour FaithSearch Discovery
event on the evidence for the reliability of the New Testament,
the deity of Christ, and salvation in Him alone. Outreach and
discipleship training may also be included. We have structured
this initiative to include special pricing as well, opening
many doors of opportunity to introduce our ministry to new churches
and to new communities.
The initial response from pastors has been
tremendous. In fact, said Kristi Wanamaker, Director of Events
Management, "It's overwhelmingly positive. Pastors see
this as something they can do, that will help strengthen their
people and reach their community. They absolutely love it."
And they are scheduling "315 Sundays" with FaithSearch.
When we run out of Sundays, we'll fill
Saturdays or any other day of the week that will work. Help
us by telling your pastor or other church leaders about it.
If you want more information, please call our office and ask
for Kristi (952.401.4501, or toll free in the USA, 800.964.1447).
Also pray that the schedule for all our evangelists in the
months ahead will be filled with opportunities to proclaim the
greatest news of all.
