There's no denying the global financial
crisis has affected our ministry. Does God have a "bailout"
plan? As a donor-supported ministry, we rely on gifts from God's
people.
Because of reduced funding, we have taken
steps to minimize our expenses. This has included staff
layoffs, and requires evaluation of each purchase. Some projects
and ministry trips have been put on hold. We are focusing our
ministry on the USA, Latin America, and Russian-speaking Europe.
Be Part of God’s Plan
Our revised, monthly, core budget is approximately
$48,300. Ministry projects beyond this must receive
special funding before they are undertaken.
These ideas for helping may seem obvious–or not. Ask
God how He would have you be part of His plan.
- Pray. It is God
who provides. Be the persistent friend in Luke 11:5-8:
knock on the door until the request is granted.
- Increase your
level of giving
- Monthly giving helps us plan and avoid cash flow issues
- Automated giving
from your checking account (or credit card) is easy:
no more checks to write (call for details)
- Introduce the
minstry to friends and associates who may be able to
give
- Ask your church
to support our ministry or a specific project (e.g.
the Russia match, Spanish ministry, “Vision for America”)

In the face of this, we have incredible
ministry opportunities before us; there is increasing
demand for our presentation of the Gospel with evidence
in current and untapped mission fields; and the response
from those who hear is unprecedented in our history. We've
been asked, "If God is blessing the ministry with opportunities
and response all over the world, why don't you have the money
to do it?" Good question.
First, we take His perspective. He has
taught that we needn't worry (Matthew 6:2534). He is in control
and takes responsibility for our needs. We are to "seek
first His Kingdom and His righteousness." So we focus on
these rather than finances.
Second, God has shown us His faithfulness
for thirty years—the entire life of this ministry so far—and
throughout history. There is no reason to doubt His ability
to provide now or in the future (Lamentations 3:21-26; James
1:17).
Third, we have observed over time that
God has used His people to meet the needs of this ministry.
He could (and He may yet) do a miracle. He may also move in
the hearts of His people. We live and serve by His Spirit; His
plan; His resources; His timing.
We don't always see the details of His
provision until afterward. Yet we choose to follow the call
and wait on Him. We appreciate your participation with us
in this ministry. (See Philippians 2:10-19.)
