"315 Day"
In 2009, FaithSearch launched a ministry promotion encouraging every church to schedule a "315 Day" in their annual calendar. The concept is based on 1 Peter 3:15, and makes possible a day in which Christians are prepared to fulfill more ably the command to "...be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."
The success of the promotion was even greater than we had hoped! Many churches scheduled events, most of them with multiple presentations, both for outreach and for nurturing the faith of believers. Many "315" events have been scheduled, with more under discussion. "This had a major impact in filling our fall schedule," said Kristi Wanamaker, who facilitates the events. For your "315 Day," a FaithSearch evangelist/teacher will:
- Preach during your worship services, at a retreat or midweek gathering, on evidences for the existence of a personal and infinite God
- Offer another evidence-based message for youth/Sunday school/adult education/seminar
- Present a two-hour FaithSearch Discovery event with evidences for the reliability of the New Testament, the deity of Christ, and salvation in Him alone. (As an option, a Creation/Evolution event is also available.)
