Dr. Don Bierle holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in the life sciences and an M.A. in New Testament Studies. An academic dean and college professor for nearly 25 years, he is skilled at communicating complex subjects in a clear, original, and fascinating way.

In a home in 1976, the presentation of Christian evidences compiled by Dr. Bierle was recognized as an effective way to share the Gospel with unbelievers. Based on the success of the original Faith Dynamics seminar (now called FaithSearch Discovery) an organization was formed under the name H.I.S. Ministries (Home Inspirational Studies). For 16 years, H.I.S. remained a part-time ministry under Dr. Bierle. In 1992 he entered full time activity, and the ministry grew quickly.

The ministry was renamed Faith Studies International in 1998 to reflect the emphasis on the content of the message, rather than the venue of its presentation. Now known as FaithSearch International, the ministry has a dedicated staff to support the presentation of the Gospel with evidence to all peoples everywhere, throughout the USA and around the world.

Dr. Bierle's search for meaning earlier in life led to a career of research and teaching in the natural sciences, and skepticism about matters of faith. A research scientist for several years, Dr. Bierle was a team member on scientific expeditions to both the Arctic and Antarctic polar regions, and has published several articles in scientific journals.

His achievements in science failed to provide satisfaction. What finally brought fulfillment came as a surprise. He now shares his life-changing journey from skepticism to faith with audiences around the world.

As an educator, Dr. Bierle has been active for more than 30 years teaching biology, Bible and worldview subjects in the college classroom. Don has authored several books and video series including two practical apologetic books on faith, Surprised by Faith and FaithSearch (a youth edition). He has spoken at numerous national and international conferences in places like the Marshall Islands, Israel, Amsterdam 2000, India, Nepal and The Philippines.

Dr. Bierle is an ardent student of the Bible, and especially enjoys the roles of apologist, evangelist, and disciple-maker. Don and his wife, Vernee, have two adult sons and five grandchildren.
